Tifeo Rosso is a translucent ruby which borders on garnet red. Subtle aromas of cherry and raspberry mix with bolder scents of tobacco, brushwood, leather, and dark chocolate, finishing with a provocative mineral freshness.

The Grapes

The grapes of Mt. Etna are grown with love and care by the Gambino family. The unique environment of this of this active volcano in Sicily is commonly referred to as the “island within an island.” While grapes don’t grow easily in extreme volcanic conditions, when harvested with care, they create an incredible wine meant to be savored.

Named after the Mascali area in Carania where the grape is thought to have originated, the Nerello Mascalese grape grows in the cool, high altitudes of the active volcano Mt. Etna. Grown primarily on the northeastern side of Sicily, this red grape contains a rustic black volcanic earthy note, and medium weight fine-grained tannins.

The Nerello Cappuccio grape is widely used as a blending grape to add color and alcohol to the wine. Loosely translated from 'Cappuccio' meaning hood and 'Mantello' meaning cloak, the Nerello Cappuccio grape, also called Nerello Mantellato, earns its name from the strange shape of its leaves. The leaves of the grape appear to protect, or "cloak," their grapes defying with fiery and harsh elements of Mount Etna.

When blended together, the Nerello Cappuccio grapes add color and work to soften the tannins of the Nerello Mascalese grapes.

Tifeo - Half human and half dragon, Tifeo was a divine creature in Greek mythology. His wings lay between Messina and Syracuse, his tail underneath Naples, and his heart beats under Mount Etna. Tifeo was thought to have temporarily disabled the Greek God Zeus, who was later rescued by his son Hermes.

An easy drinking red blend of Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese. These native Sicilian grape varieties produce powerful yet fruit forward wines and are renowned for producing many of the best Sicilian wines. Nero d’Avola is one of the oldest Sicilian grape varietals and Nerello Mascalese is considered to produce many of the best Sicilian wines, particularly when grown along the slopes of Mount Etna.

Feu D'o Bianco

This refreshing white wine is a blend of Grillo and Carricante. Light bodied and crisp, this wine displays aromas and flavors of stone fruit and melon. 


The name of this wine comes from the originally spoken Sicilian term ‘feud’oro’ which loosely translates to ‘golden feud’. The name represents the ancient feuds (during medieval times) to control the land. Over time, the use of the adjective "d'oro" became restricted to the area of Marsala (in western Sicily), so we now simply say 'feud'o'.

Duvanera

This Nero D’Avola is ripe and lush with flavors and aromas of black plums, cherry, violets, and a touch of vanilla and spice. Aged 9 months in oak. 


Spoken 'D’uva Nera', Duvanera translates from Italian to English, meaning 'black grapes.' Interestingly, Duvanera is a similar translation to that of the Nero d’Avola black grapes grown in the small town of Avola in southeast Sicily.
