A Taste of Sicily That Came Home With Me

During my birthday trip to Sicily, I visited Gambino Winery on the slopes of Mount Etna. During the tasting, I couldn’t stop raving about the Tifeo Rosso. One of the family owners of the vineyard graciously surprised me by gifting me a bottle as a birthday present. That gesture made an already unforgettable experience even more special.

After returning home to New York, I ordered two more bottles because I simply couldn’t stop thinking about it. The Tifeo Rosso is, in my opinion, one of the finest Sicilian reds I’ve ever tasted—rich, elegant, beautifully balanced, and incredibly smooth.

I also purchased a bottle as a gift for a friend in Sicily, who later shared that he and his wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Great wine has a way of bringing people together.

I love the wine, I love the vineyard, and I look forward to returning one day.
